Livestock Monitoring That Works From Inside the Animal

Movment is a cattle health monitoring system that uses a swallowed rumen bolus and GPS-enabled collar to track temperature, activity, and location in real time, so you act on data, not guesswork.

THE PROBLEM WITH TRADITIONAL HERD MANAGEMENT

Monitoring 50, 500, or 5,000 animals individually is physically impossible. By the time a sick animal shows visible symptoms, illness has already spread through your herd.

That’s the gap Movment was built to close: early disease detection for cattle, at scale, without adding labour.

OUR SOLUTIONS

Livestock Monitoring System You Need

Movment combines IoT cattle tracking hardware with a cloud platform built for real farm decisions — not data dashboards nobody reads.

Moofinder

(Rumen Bolus Cattle Monitor)

Swallowed once. Monitoring forever. Moofinder transmits rumen temperature, activity, and GPS location.

Moovsmart

(GPS Tracker & Collar)

Worn, not implanted. Moovsmart tracks skin temperature, movement, and GPS location.

Cloud Platform

(Herd Management Software)

All your herd data. One login. Any device. Your vet and nutritionist see the same dashboard you do.

Precision Livestock Farming That Fits How Farms Actually Work

About Movment
Built for Real Operations

Built for Real Operations

Every feature was shaped by working with
farmers, not by AgTech assumptions made in a boardroom. If it doesn't work in a muddy field at 6am, it doesn't ship.

Fully Integrated Hardware and Software

Fully Integrated Hardware + Software

Bolus, collar, cloud — one integrated livestock monitoring system. Your data flows automatically from device to dashboard. No manual data entry. No compatibility gaps.

University Validated

University Validated

Movment prototype trials were independently conducted at the Faculty of Agricultural Science, Catholic University of Piacenza — confirming sensor accuracy and full animal safety under real farming conditions.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Quesitons About Livestock Monitoring

What is a rumen bolus and how does it monitor cattle health?

A rumen bolus is a weighted capsule that a cow swallows and settles in the reticulum — a chamber of the stomach. Because it stays in place long-term, it continuously transmits rumen temperature, activity levels, and GPS location. Movment's Moofinder uses this principle to provide 24/7 cattle health monitoring without any physical intervention after initial administration.

How does early disease detection for cattle work with Movment?

Movment's sensors detect deviations from each animal's individual baseline — changes in rumen temperature, drops in activity, or altered movement patterns. Alerts are sent to the farmer's dashboard before the animal shows outward signs of illness, enabling earlier intervention than visual monitoring alone.

Is the Movment system suitable for sheep and goats as well as cattle?

Yes. The Moovsmart GPS livestock tracker collar is designed for cattle, sheep, and goats. The Moofinder rumen bolus is optimised for ruminants including cattle and larger small ruminants. Contact the team for species-specific compatibility.

What data does the Movment livestock monitoring system collect?

Movment collects rumen temperature (internal), skin temperature (external), physical activity (step count, rest patterns), GPS location, and movement behavioural patterns. All data is accessible in real time via the Movment Cloud platform.

Is Movment's technology clinically validated?

Yes. Independent prototype trials were conducted at the Faculty of Agricultural Science, Catholic University of Piacenza, confirming both sensor accuracy and animal safety. The technology is protected by two patents filed in the United States and Canada.
